AUSTIN (KXAN) — After rainy weather canceled Billboard’s South by Southwest concert Thursday, the music label announced it would refund ticket buyers.
The March 16 concert was supposed to be the first night of Billboard’s The State at SXSW series, which continued Friday night and concluded Saturday. These events are held outdoors in the Moody Amphitheatre.
“All tickets for this concert purchased through the Moody Amphitheater Box Office or Ticketmaster will be refunded,” Billboard said Friday Twitter.
Billboard added that the original ticket buyer will receive more information and a refund from Ticketmaster.
Performers on March 16 include Lil Yachty, Lola Brooke and Armani White.
SXSW organizers moved other outdoor events on Thursday, including a community concert near Lady Bird Lake, to the indoor Austin Convention Center.
According to Billboard, the Billboard concert series ended Saturday with electronic music from Kx5 (Kaskade and deadmau5).
