Nationwide mourns the deceased Raju Srivastav who passed away earlier today. The 58-year-old comedian’s family has confirmed his death. vTimeless comedian admitted to All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) On August 10, he developed acute chest pains after collapsing while exercising at the gym. The fitness trainer rushed him to the hospital, where he was immediately given CPR. He underwent angioplasty on the same day.
He was put on a ventilator as his condition worsened, but regained consciousness on September 1. He took his last breath today, September 21.
He is best known for his comedy performances in films such as Aamdani Atthanni Kharcha Rupaiya, Baazigar and Mumbai to Goa. He rose to fame in 2005 by appearing on the reality stand-up comedy show The Great Indian Laughter Challenge.
