Colorado plastic surgeon and nurse, Dr. Geoffrey Kim has been charged with first-degree aggravated assault and criminally negligent homicide in the death of 18-year-old Emmalyn Nguyen.
Nguyen went to Colorado Aesthetic and Plastic Surgery for a breast amendment surgery on August 1, 2019, from which she suffered cardiac arrest after being administered anesthesia, Arapahoe County Sheriff’s Office said.
According to reports, Nguyen died more than a year after the surgery in October 2020. Following critical investigations, Arapahoe County Sheriff’s Office announced on Wednesday that an arrest warrant for Dr. Geoffrey Kim was obtained in Nguyen’s death.
