Kendrick Lamar & Megan Thee Stallion Enlisted For Next Season Of SNL In October

Kendrick Lamar and Megan Thee Stallion have reportedly been announced as musical guests for the new season of SNL (Saturday Night Live). Saturday Night Live’s 48th season kicks off on October 1st with the season premiere hosted by Miles Teller and musical guest Kendrick Lamar. Willow will reportedly perform in an episode hosted by Brendan Gleeson next week. By then, on October 15, Megan Thee Stallion will reportedly serve as both host and musical guest. The new season of Saturday Night Live will include a variety of personnel changes following the departures of actors Pete Davidson, Eddie Bryant, Chris Reid, Kate McKinnon, Kyle Mooney and more.

New cast members for SNL Season 48 include Marcello Hernandez, Molly Kearney, Michael Longfellow and Devon Walker. Kendrick Lamar reportedly last appeared on SNL in 2018 when he teamed up with Anderson.Paak on “Tints.” Before that, Kendrick Lamar performed on the show in November 2014, February 2014 and January 2013. Megan Thee Stallion reportedly made her SNL debut in October 2019, performing “Handsome” with host Chance the Rapper. The following year, she officially became a musical guest, appearing in “The Savage” and “Don’t Stop.” Kendrick Lamar recently released his latest album Mr. Morale & The Huge Steppers in May and Megan Thee Stallion shared her new album Traumazine in August.

Saturday Night Live has reportedly announced its guest lineup for the first half of October, the long-running comedy show scheduled to highlight some of the biggest names in hip-hop. Kendrick Lamar and Megan Thee Stallion are both booked. On Tuesday, September 20, SNL revealed the list of special guests coming up next month. The show will begin in October with Kendrick Lamar as musical guest and entertainer Miles Teller as host on October 1. The October 8 episode will be hosted by actor and film director Brendan Gleeson, with Willow as musical narrator. Megan Thee Stallion will be the host and musical guest on October 15th.

Meghan took to Instagram to report the upcoming debut to her fans and captioned photos of the announcement, your Spice Girls Coach will be live on Saturday night in All the Cuties on October 15th. Megan Thee Stallion is reportedly about to release her second album, Traumazine, which peaked at No. 4 on the Billboard 200 when it dropped a month ago. The album features guest appearances from Future, Pooh Shiesty, Latto, Rico Frightful and more. The LP marks the end of Megan Thee Stallion’s relationship with her previous label, l 1501 Guaranteed Ent., which had been controversial. Kendrick Lamar remains at the center of the 2022 The Big Steppers Tour with Baby Keem and Tanna Leone, which is promoting his latest album, Mr. Morale & The Big Steppers. The tour kicks off in Europe 7 days after K-Dot’s appearance on SNL, and will cover 27 shows across Europe and Australia.
