BURNETT COUNTY, Texas — A Lampasas man who pleaded guilty to a 2021 double homicide in Burnett County will spend the rest of his life in prison without the possibility of parole, court documents show.
In September 2021, deputies from the Burnett County Sheriff’s Office found a 39-year-old woman and a 42-year-old man dead in a house in the Overlook subdivision.
According to the BCSO, James Joseph Luckenbach, 33, at the time of the incident, had previously been charged with the death penalty for multiple murders.
