Liverpool update on Nat Phillips with Premier League move on cards

Liverpool put defender Nat Phillips up for sale this summer Sources told Football Insider.

The 25-year-old centre-back came close to leaving Anfield in January but Jurgen Klopp kept him at the club due to injury problems at the club.

Virgil van Dijk and Ibrahima Konate have both suffered long-term injuries, leaving the Reds short at the back.

But with the Dutchman and Frenchman both now fit, Phillips has again been told he is free to look for a new club this summer.

Although he has no game time, philips Offers are being attracted from the Premier League as well as Turkish side Galatasaray.

Phillips is yet to make a final decision on his future club, but a move away from Liverpool this summer seems inevitable.

He has played just seven times for Liverpool this season, including 66 minutes in the Premier League.

The last time Klopp handed Phillips a Premier League game was in November, when he made a three-minute cameo in a 3-1 win over Southampton.

The Germany boss is looking to overhaul his squad in the summer and no longer sees Phillips as part of his long-term plans at Anfield

Phillips worked his way up the Liverpool academy and graduated to the first team in 2019.

Loans to Stuttgart and Bournemouth followed, patiently awaiting a place in Klopp’s plans, but instead the England defender will have to find playing time elsewhere.
