Manchester United could reward Newcastle goalkeeper Martin Dubravka with Carabao Cup medal – Man United News And Transfer News

Players from Manchester United and Newcastle United will both hope to claim a Carabao Cup winner’s medal at the end of the month when the two sides meet in the final at Wembley.
However, in an unusual twist of fate, Newcastle goalkeeper Martin Dubravka is much more likely to claim a winner’s medal if United win the domestic cup.
According to reports give me exerciseDubravka has already played during his loan spell at Manchester United earlier this season and therefore cannot play for Eddie Howe’s side.
Under FA rules, you can’t play the same cup game for two different teams and have the stopper tied with the cup.
Dubravka represented Manchester United in cup games against Aston Villa and Burnley.
At the end of the final, the winner will receive 19 medals, which will be distributed among the 11 starters, 7 substitutes and the team leader.
Clubs will then receive an additional 11 medals to distribute throughout the club as they see fit.
Newcastle have used 25 players for this year’s competition and given Dubravka is not one of them, he is unlikely to get one and Howe hopes to reward his backroom staff.
United, on the other hand, have only used 13 players other than Dubravka in this year’s competition and are likely to award medals to the goalkeeper should Eric ten Haag’s side win the final.
Both sides will be desperate for a win, with success lacking in recent years.
United will end a six-year trophy drought, with their last success coming against Southampton in the same game in 2017.
Erik 10 Hag’s side will start the final with a narrow margin, although the two sides are separated by only two points in the Premier League.
