AUSTIN (KXAN) — Austin FC 18-year-old midfielder Owen Wolff has played well for his club at the start of the 2023 MLS season and can now play for his country.
Wolff was named to the U.S. Under-20 men’s national team squad for an international friendly in Marbella, Spain, from March 22-28, as the team prepares for this summer’s FIFA Under-20 World Cup.

Wolff reported to the national team after Austin FC’s game against the Houston Dynamo on Saturday and will return to the club on March 29. He will miss Austin FC’s home game against the Colorado Rapids on March 25.

Wolf joined the team for a domestic training camp in January and was part of the under-19 squad that won the Slovenian Cup of Nations last September. Wolff scored a goal against Croatia in that game.
