Manchester United are drawing up plans to award Erik 10 Hag a new contract that would extend the initial three years of his current contract.
Mirror Regardless of who takes over, Ten Hag is still expected to strike a new deal, the report said.
Simon Mullock said: “Ten Hager has made such a profound impact in his first year at Old Trafford that plans have been drawn up to extend the three-year contract he signed last summer.
“United have indicated to Ten Hag that they wish to reward him for the progress he has made in his short time at the club.”
“The feedback from Ratcliffe’s Ineos Group and Sheikh Jassim’s Nine Two Foundation was that both bidders felt that Ten Hag was the right manager to bring back the glory days.
Ten Haag revealed he met Ratcliffe and shook hands with the petrochemical tycoon during his press conference ahead of United’s FA Cup clash with Fulham.
Ratcliffe personally led the delegation hosted by Richard-Arnold at Old Trafford in talks with senior club officials over a bid for the Red Devils.
The People’s Daily reported that talks were progressing well and that Ineos’ second bid would arrive before the Glazer family’s mid-week deadline.
Representatives of Sheikh Jassim were also involved in the talks with the Manchester United chiefs. The 10-hour discussions were said to be positive and constructive.
