Ruben Loftus-Cheek backed to quit by pundit

Alan Hutton has backed Chelsea academy graduate Ruben Loftus-Cheek’s £22m move to AC Milan.

The 27-year-old has entered the final 18 months of his contract at Stamford Bridge and could leave in the summer.

The Academy graduate has made 28 appearances for Graham Potter’s side this season, starting 16 of them.
Asked if £22m was the right price for the middle class, Hutton told Football Insider: “I think so, especially when you look at some of the transfer fees we’re talking about now.
“I know he has injury issues, but he’s still a very good player. He’s been out on loan and doing well. He’s been playing lately, a little bit in and out.
“He’s going to want to be the first name on the roster. If it means going to a team like AC Milan, that would be a good move.
“[Fikayo] Tomori was there and he knew Tammy Abraham well in Rome. So he’s going to find out what’s going on there from those people. I thought it might be decent.“
