GEORGETOWN (KXAN) — Paramedics at St. David’s Georgetown Hospital celebrated the retirement of one of their long-term therapy dogs on Tuesday.
Sparky is a 13-year-old Shih Tsu. More than eight of those years were spent as a hospital therapy dog.
He and his owner Linda have been visiting staff and patients for the past eight years. On their final visit on Tuesday, they were amazed by balloons, staff-signed cards and a ton of pats on Sparky.
We’re not sure what the future plans are for Sparky, but we hope they include a lot of treats!
