Top Notch Hamburgers location to open in Hutto next week

AUSTIN (KXAN) – The highly anticipated Top Notch Hamburgers will open in the city on March 22, the city of Hutto said in an announcement Friday.

“This will mark Top Notch’s second location since it opened its iconic original location on Austin’s Burnet Road in 1971,” the City of Hutto said in a statement. release.

The new location will be open daily from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. at 121 Co-Op Blvd., and will serve charcoal-grilled burgers, hand-dipped onion rings, fried chicken and more, the city said.

Due to the excitement over the Austin brand’s selection of Hutto and the freshness of the staff, Hutto said queues should be expected.

The location’s owner, Kelly Chappell, said training this month has gone well, adding that most of the nearly 40 crew members are from Hutto as part of a local investment.

Due to the newness of the staff, Chappell is asking for extra tolerance and patience from the community during the restaurant’s first week or two of opening.

Top Notch Hutto is expected to host a grand opening party a week or two after opening, and Chappell said he’s planning an old-fashioned hot rod event at the Hutto on April 23.

Top Notch originally planned to open a Hutto location in 2019.
