A horrific incident was reported by Kansas Police where a shooting incident in the school premises left two people injured. Yes, due to the shooting in the high school premises, two people were badly injured in Kansas. According to the sources, a suspect has been taken into custody and the shooting took place in the school administration office area at Olathe East High School on Friday, March 4, 2022. The police and the emergency services rushed to the spot after they came to know about the incident of shooting in school premises.
In this incident, two individuals including a resource officer and a school administrator were confirmed by the police as a school principal, as per the reports by KMBC. Well, the police didn’t share any details following the shooting southwest of Kansas City in the eastern part of the state.
Well, the Olathe Police Department said that there is no worry of danger to the public but they are urging the people to stay away from the area as the investigation of the incident is going on.
Kansas High School Shooting
The department took the support of Twitter and tweeted,” School resource officer shot and injured, administrator shot and injured. Stand by on reunification area. No active threat at this time. No reports of injured students at this time”.
According to the spokesperson who said that authorities were notified about this shooting just before 10:30 AM when the resource officer of the school radioed the police that he and the administrator had been shot in the school premises. He also said that the suspect had been also shot.
The suspect is reported as a student of the school. Well, the intentions behind this incident have not been revealed yet but the sources are trying to get more updates following this shooting. With this, the police stated that the students will be taken to the Pioneer Trail Middle School to be reunited with their families.
Later, the Olathe Public Schools tweeted ar around 12:03 PM,” Olathe East is currently under lockdown due to an active shooting situation on campus. Please know that law enforcement is on-site and the building is secured. Olathe East and surrounding school buildings have been secured”.
So, the KMBC also reported that the agents from the Kansas City Field Office of the Federal Bureau of Alcohol including Firearms and Tobacco have been delivered to the area to help the cops.
