Netflix’s “Jazz Player’s Blues” tells the story of a man named Bayou and his turbulent love story with Leanne. The two first met and fell in love as teenagers, but several obstacles prevented them from getting along with each other. Years later, an unexpected turn of events brought Bayou to Chicago, where he started a music career. He has always had a great voice, and when opportunity comes knocking, he makes good use of it. Thus, the music becomes an important part of the story, and each song becomes an expression of the character’s emotions, especially as a moderator in difficult times. Where can I listen to the Jazz Blues soundtrack?
When writer-director Tyler Perry started writing “The Jazz Player’s Blues,” jazz was on his mind. “Jazz has been the soundtrack to a large extent in my life. Louis Armstrong, Ella Fitzgerald, Sarah Vaughan, Duke Ellington, all these incredible, amazing sounds It inspires me,” he said. SayAs a kid, Perry said he would sneak into his grandfather’s jukebox and watch people have fun. So as the story of the movie unfolded in his mind, he realized that he was subconsciously reflecting on his life. “In moments of sadness, there is always music; and in moments of great events, there is always music, laughter, and joy,” he said. To make a film with music at its core, Perry needed someone who could fit Bayou’s character in every way. While great acting skills are required to play the character, it also means that the actor must also sing and be very good at it. Broadway veteran Joshua Boone proved to be the perfect choice to play Bayou. He sang songs for all his characters.
